From Concept to Design
Throughout the project as a Level designer for Mankind Reborn I was given a lot of creative freedom, to soley design and create; Union City Lower and Space Station One, which were both Levels within the Mankind Reborn Universe. With Union City Lower being a Level based around a distopian slum and Space Station One being the connecting point between other Levels.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Work as part of a Level Design Team and report to the Lead Level Designer
- Conceptulising idea's for the Levels.
- Obtaining reference material for lLevel ideas.
- Combining concept ideas for Levels.
- Whiteboxing Levels within UE4.
- Testing and Itterating the Levels.
- Replacing Whitebox assets with Modeled assets.
- Creating Mechanics within Unreal Engine 4 Blueprint system.
- Overseeing players ustilising the levels
- Documenting findings and player feedback and making required changes.
- Using Mantis Bug tracker and JIRA to Create, Change and Update Bug Tracking logs.
